Kapit Pump NEO
CERN-OHL-S-2.0A pressure balanced deep sea peristaltic pump based on the Kapit OG. Has some additional features and is a maintained project (for now).
This is a pressure balanced oil-filled deep sea peristaltic pump.
It is based on the Kapit Pump OG.
There are 2 primary changes.
- A different back for use with a single PBOF cable for reduced bulk (OG junction box design still included in source files)
- Small slits in the motor coupling to protect against air pockets causing problems at high pressures (Thank you Jason Kapit for the consultation on this) .
Maturity
In routine service as everyday equipment (7/10, self-assessed)
Regularly deployed on multiple instrument packages.
